Giving and Gift Day

Giving-and-Gift-Day-2026-tile

Every year we face the exciting faith adventure of being a local church committed to being a ‘good news of Jesus’ people in a nation and world that is desperate for the rule and reign of Jesus. Therefore, as a church we are committed to seeking first God’s Kingdom and that means releasing resources that enable us to sustain, develop and pioneer the expanding mission and vibrant ministry of CBC - locally - regionally - and internationally.

As partners in the work of the gospel together, we are praying that Jesus would enable us to continue to move forwards and that God would faithfully provide for the multifaceted areas of church life as set out in our CBC budget. We again look dependently upon Jesus to be our supply, not just in terms of financing CBC but in terms of Holy Spirit enabling, Spiritual gifts, people and opportunities to serve.

A highlighted expenditure in our budget is our commitment to invest in Children’s ministry and mission and for us to be able to support and sustain a Children’s Worker joining the staff team.

Having significantly advanced and expanded in mission and ministry over the years, a key outcome in the coming years for us as a church is to see the ongoing REVITALISATION of CBC. This means we must look to God to do a deep work in our own lives - that the Lord would stir and revitalise our own spirit and spark the enthusiasm of us the people of God. There are 12 REVITALISATION words and themes which we are biblically and prayerfully exploring, and which will require future ongoing, development, resourcing and implementation.

Whether you worship with us on-site or on-line, please could you consider increasing your giving and offerings to the life and work of CBC? Please pray and think about how you could increase your regular offerings, start to give regularly or make a one-off gift.

There is now this fresh opportunity through this Giving and Gift Day, for us to participate in the life of CBC and be a part of the way Jesus will provide for us as a church community.

Day of Prayer

We will be having a Day of Prayer on Wednesday 22nd April to pray about our church and finances:

As part of this Prayer Day please join a short 20-minute prayer time on Zoom at 1.00pm and at 7.00pm. Zoom details can be found in the Gift Day information sent out to members.

Home Groups/Ministry & Activity Teams - you could also pray together before this day

How to participate

Pray about how much you can give and complete the response form which you can bring on the Gift Day or return to John Wheeler at any time, either electronically or on paper. You can make arrangements to give in advance of the Gift Day, or you can bring your response form and make your gift on the day. Speak to John, our Treasurer, if you have any questions.

If you aren’t able to make a gift at this time, or to increase your current level of giving, we of course completely understand. Could you think about making a pledge for later in the year, and meanwhile look to support us in other ways by using your time and your skills?
